5K Run / Walk Details
Presented by the Torrance Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by UCLA Health, join us for the annual Torrance Armed Forces Day 5K for Freedom touring around beautiful Torrance, California on May 18th, 2024 at 8:00am! All finishing participants will receive a 5K for Freedom commemorative t-shirt. There will be computerized bib timing, age division awards, free food and beverages, and exhibitor booths. The 1st place overall male & female will be invited to ride in the Torrance Armed Forces Day parade following the 5K!

Age Division Awards
Age division awards will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age division.
Packet Pickup Details
Packet pickup for your race bib and shirt will be held the following dates and locations:
Friday, May 17: Noon to 6pm at the HT Grill located about a block away from Village Runner in Redondo Beach. H.T. Grill Address: 1701 S Catalina Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
Saturday, May 18: race morning starting at 6:30am near the race start and expo site at the Del Amo Mall. Race Expo approximate Address: 3405 W Carson St, Torrance, CA 90503
Race Course
The 5K is an out and back course that starts near the Black Angus restaurant at the Del Amo Fashion Center and makes its way up and down Torrance Blvd., lined with beautiful Eucalyptus trees, then passes near the Torrance City Hall, the LA Galaxy Soccer Center, and finishes near the Del Amo Fashion Center!

Torrance is one of the few cities nationwide sanctioned by the Department of Defense to honor our Armed Forces through an annual Armed Forces Day Parade and Celebration. The three day celebration will include a concert open to the public, parade, military exhibit as well as a 5K run and other special surprises planned for the weekend.
